INTRO Columbus is the tallest mass timber student housing building in the United States and the first mass timber project in Columbus. Rising 13 stories at High Street and Ninth Avenue, steps from The Ohio State University, the 242,000 sq ft community will deliver 186 apartments and townhomes with 493 beds for the 2027-28 academic year.

The mass timber structure is left exposed throughout, bringing natural warmth and texture to every floor. Residents have access to a library, study rooms, lounges and a second-level outdoor deck with grills and a fire pit. Harbor Bay led the design and development with DLR Group, Elford Construction and SmartLam North America, whose Alabama-made timber forms the structure. The structure topped out in September 2026, 10 weeks ahead of schedule.
